Thwarted!!

I did a bit more can flipping this morning to amuse myself. An Osprey took the bait and attacked me using missiles and a drone. I webbed the drone and dispatched it pretty quickly, then re-engaged the Cruiser. I knocked down his shields and started to chew through his armour. Just when I thought I had him, he logged off! What a swine. I hung around for 15 mins to see whether he would re-appear but he didn't. The cluster was due to shut down so I docked. I'll log back on and see if he comes back for his ore in an hour. :o)

Back again. No show from the Osprey pilot so I gave up. I did a flip on someone in a Bantam and then zoomed off. I came back 5 mins later to find him tooled up in a Merlin and flashing red.

Dakka dakka dakka!

I managed to take him out with him being able to hit me which was a first. Mind you I don't think Rails are the best defence when your being orbited at 1km in a fairly fast Frigate. The loot was poor so I left it for him to pick back up. Not the best fight but it's another notch on my kill board.

I have embraced the Dark Side of Eve

I have finally had my first PvP action in Eve After playing since 2004.

Now I am generally a nice guy who respects his fellow man and tries to get along with people as best I can, in and out of Eve. But I have always liked the idea of being a bit of a bastard pirate. With that in mind I finally girded my loins and plunged in to do a bit of can flipping in the hope of provoking a fight. I cruised a few systems looking for victims. After a while I found what I was after, a Badger II, Osprey and Coverter mining a belt using a can. I zoomed in and did the swap but there was no reaction. Oh well. I zoomed out to another belt to try and find someone who wanted to play. I dropped off a few cans of cheap loot a act as bait along the way, but after about 5 mins I return back to the first belt. I'd bookmarked the can so landed on top of it to find the Badger flash that sweet red colour.

Dakka dakka dakka!!!

The T2 blasters on my Incursus blazed away into the Badger as I hit the Scram. As his ship melted away the Osprey opened fire on me with Heavy Missiles. My shields vanished after the first two volley's but I engaged him, orbiting the cruiser at 1000m. I knew if I got through his shields he would be lost but at the same time he was starting to eat into my armour. I pulsed my Armour Repairer on and off to keep myself alive as we traded shots. His shields finally fell and my blasters chewed through his armour with ease. Good job too as he had got a third into my structure and it was only my Armour Repairer that was keeping me going but my Cap was getting dangerously low. I turned off my AB and one of the blasters and this enabled me to finish the job. He exploded in a blinding flash and my victory was complete. What a Rush!!

They weren't happy, but I guess thats the idea. I thanked the Osprey pilot for the fight, but he wasn't in a very polite mood. Oh well I better get used to it if this is going to be my chosen profession.

Later that day I cruised the belts again looking for a fight. There was not much happening so I looted a few wrecks that were lying about. An Ibis wandered into the system which I just ignored as it's a rookie ship and I won't target them. All of a sudden he locks on to me and starts blasting away at my shields. I guess they must have been his wrecks that I had looted. It was a bad move on his part and I had him sat in his pod 30 seconds later. I tried to convo him to point out that he shouldn't be engaging much other that Rats in that ship, but he's logged off. That was a shame as I was in a generous mood and was going to give him some dosh to cover the loss of his ship.

See I'm not all bad.

Yet! :o)
